1. Smooth Integration with Tekla Structures

One of the standout features of Tekla PowerFab 2025 is its deeper integration with Trimble’s flagship BIM software, Tekla Structures 2025. The new Tekla Structures Connector eliminates manual data imports, reducing the risk of errors and increasing visibility for all members of the project team. Fabricators are now able to submit their profile catalogue directly to detailers, using only materials and finishes that are compatible with one another, with real-time validation in the form of automated submittals. 

2. Interactive Production Planning

The Tekla PowerFab 2025 version also includes a web-based interactive production scheduling tool, which enables week-based capacity planning by hours or weight. This feature enables multi-workshop and multi-facility planning, with real-time visibility into production schedules. This is a major benefit for sales and project management teams, as they can plan jobs ahead of time and set capacity to fit shifts or subcontractor utilization.  

3. ABM Enhancements for Improved Control

In Tekla PowerFab 2025, the Advanced Bill of Materials capability has been significantly enhanced. The software offers better control of ABM numbering and change management, which simplifies the ABM process for fabricators and detailers. Because of the integration with Tekla Structures, changes are simpler to manage, giving teams better visibility and control at the ABM phase.  

4. Simplified Work Package Management

Following the success of the 2024i release, Tekla PowerFab 2025 provides improved work package management. Fabricators can now define and manage work packages that include all project information needed, making issuing work for fabrication easier. Prioritized digital work package management and the ability to use the mobile interface of Tekla PowerFab Go allow field workers to seamlessly jump to the next work package from the field. 

5. Enhanced Purchasing Insights

Tekla PowerFab 2025 also brings enhanced purchasing capabilities, presenting users with productive dashboards offering real-time purchasing insights. This enables teams to monitor historical patterns and view the status of their procurement process as it stands now, to the benefit of procurement, project management, and financial departments. 

6. AI-Powered Trimble Assistant for Tekla

Tekla PowerFab 2025 introduces the Trimble Assistant for Tekla, a web-based AI tool that allows users to obtain precise and short correct information regarding their Tekla product-related questions. By accessing the extensive Tekla User Assistance knowledge base, they can resolve any issue they encounter while working with Tekla Structures, Tekla Structural Designer, Tekla Tedds, and Tekla PowerFab.
